I had nothing to do today, so I thought I'd show up my home-made airsoft surveillance kit. It's really useful whiles playing defend the house It's made from scratch that I had lying around, including an old baby monitor with broken picture-tube, got it for free including 2 cameras that I've modified a bit. It all runs on 12v and is really handy to carry around
The whole kit.
To the left: rough cam, with a bigass battery supply that's hooked up to the switch.
Middle:Receiver box and monitor (5.5", B&W)
Right: Lite cam, with an RC electrical motor to turn it to the left and right

Close-up on the rough-cam.

Close-up on the receiver box and monitor.

the inside of the receiver box. The big black round thing is the antenna, under it is the tuner, above it is the power-on switch/volume control and power-on led. To the right of these, there's a speaker. To the right of the antenna, the gray thing was where the original monitor was wired. I removed it to save power and space. Yet further to the right is the channel chooser and monitor hookup. There's usually a battery there too, but it was charging when teh pics were taken.

The receiver box, without flash, power on

The lite cam is also really good for searching under my bed for stuff, since both cameras have 8 infra-red LED's on them, they have more uses than just on the battlefield.
I'm cleaning out my workshop room, and when I find something useful, I build something fun out of it You'll propably see lots of threads like this from me in teh future, lol

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
