the internet isn't shit. some websites are useless, some websites are useful.

where was mention of entertainment? music, movies, sports... what about online banking? what about websites dealing with news and weather? what about msn, talking to your friends and relatives for practically nothing no matter how far you are away (as well as forums and irc).

The internet isnt just poorly written sites and unreliable data. The part of internet that is 'shit' according to this guy is pretty specific. Books are written by people too for that matter, so why should i trust books any more than i trust internet?

Not to mention the internet is a much easier way of getting information, or can you show me a library that has a searchfilter that searches through a book's contents? No, they just search for titles.

Dont bash the internet, its serious business.

I don't get why they don't even mention the irony, a'la Sideshow Bob in that episode where he tried to ban television.

I honestly found it bullschite. Of course the internet isn't 100% reliable, do-anything and omnipotent, they accuse others of missing the point I think there's a bit of hypocracy mixed in with the irony. That's why if you're writing a University or even a School essay you can't just reference the internet. You ned books, videos, hard evidence, although I myself use Google books if I need to find more sources. Now THAT is a lifesaver.

The fact that someone created a useless albeit simple website to register their distaste for the internet, instead of proving a point more draws attention to the creator's lack of anything better to do.
