getting stuff to work...?

Ok, so i downloaded a Singleplayer mod to get all maps in singleplayer and Co-op and stuff, but how do you get it to work? I extracted the files to the "mods" folder in BF2 but i can still only see the regular 16 player maps when i load up BF2

what do i need to do different?

okay, I got it. Just open the "levels" folder you dl'ed and replace all the levels with the ones in the Mods->Levels folder. I'm playin 64 Wake right now!

not sure, did you replace all the levels? I've tried a few (Wake -64, Oman -64) and they work fine. Try re-downloading. If not ask me again and I'll keep helping.

yup, replaced 'em all... but the Daqing one is the only one that doesn't have the "Archive" and "client" things inside the folder

but i tried getting rid of them for the other ones and that still didn't work, so idk

also, thanks for the help

actually, which one of the mappacks did you Download? there were a couple... so maybe i got the bad one, lol

This one. Everything works fine for me. Actually it's quite nice because I needed practice with TV. A few things are a little different though (F-18's on wake, 3 spawn points on Oman carrier). It's okay though.

well, how did you replace them? i just replaced the whole folder, but maybe im' not supposed too?

oh, and did you leave them in the C:Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods folder?

I WENT INTO the (downloaded) levels folder, copied all the level folders then moved them INTO the (original BF2) Levels folder in
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels
this makes each one replace each other. I never moved the actual LEVEL folders themselves, only the level folder files that they contained (if this makes any sense).
unfortunatly you might need to reinstall all of BF2 to work now cause you might have changed too much.

no, thank god, i just tried playing a regular game and it worked fine, i just reset everything

i'll try again, and thanks for not giving up on me

i'm still learning how to master these machines we all work with, lol

i get it, i was doing it the opposite way i needed too, lol

that's why Daqing works and the others didn't lol
