Hey all,

I'm looking for a new forum to go with a site I'm bringing together.

I needs to be:
- Simple
- Easy to customize
- Looks good.

Please vote. If you prefer another free board, please reply saying it.

For those of you who don't know, punbb is the forum used on this site, and SMF is on this site.

Please only vote if you haveused both punbb and SMF.

I'd always go with PunBB. Even if there are more mods, more features and more styles for SMF.

PunBB is the definition of a simple, lightweight, easy-to-customise forum.

But PHPBB3 is coming and that is very good, even if it is a bit slow.

Easy to apply templates and lots of modifications
Looks god damn good!

Punbb:
Too simple
Looks decent... but the templates are only colors and text, but smf is graphical.
Like i said, its too simple.

You can't beat a simple forum. And turning PunBB 'graphical' doesn't take long.

Oh, and PunBB 1.3 will be a lot better

Invision is a very nice system, but taken to going tits-up with heavy traffic.

PHPBB is good, but the new version lacks refinement.

PHPBB FTW, though.
