On that you are right. I wanted to visit such a server once but I was too lazy to actually try to find one. Nevertheless I like to knife people who are expecting that they are shot at but actually there is one sneaky bastard behind them who just doesnt bother to pull the trigger. In a knife server people would be alerted more easily since they know they wont be shot at and it would be hard to sneak behind them.

Where have you heard something like this?
Its very rare that I have to hurry to grab my knife, since the reason I have so many knife kills is because of the so called "battle sense" and my ability to "hide in shadows". This means its really rare that I go in any situation without being prepared and im good at surviving which means im pretty good squad leader. I did became an excellent knifer in the late 1.12 because of the tactic my right hand man nAru-_o invented and that was dolphing dive + knifing in mid air. It was pretty hard at first to hit in _direct combat_ it was used often by nAru-_o when he was chasing enemies who were running away from him since the enemies hadnt noticed him. Well we wasnt sure about if the tactic was effective in direct combat but we became masters at it and soon many people didnt even have the time to pull the trigger before they were knifed. But then became the 1.2 and its back to square one. This means Im not really that good in knife duels anymore and if you take a duel with me in normal bf2 you just might win more times than I, for some reason I am having trouble adapting in the "new" knife duels.
The reason I have knife as a favourite weapon is that I noticed in early game that I had almost as much time used knife as I had time used carbine. This was happened because I used to play counter strike until they managed to ruin that game too in 1.0 and it was a habit to run with the knife. Then I decided to make the "wtf scores" and every chance I got I used the knife and if carbine time was close to knife then I used a different kit. So this didnt happen by chance, im not all the time in some bush waiting for a enemy to walk by picking my tooth with a knife. As a commander in early times I always had a knife equipped.
And yes I hate the new patch. They should just have removed the exploits and bugs but they had to make such a drastic change. Developers: "Duhh, I have a great idea, Lets just remove the freedom of movement & reduce the level of gameplay and ALL players will rejoice!", what were they thinking? There were other ways to remove exploiting but they just had to apply the first idea which came in to their minds.
Is there by the way 1.12 servers as ranked anymore?
Im thinking of going back to the good old times when mobility wasnt affected by not so clever developers.
Still the amount of knifing hasnt decreased at all in 1.2, 1.21 and 1.22 since im great at adaptation and "the other guy has the same problem". We are back at my old tactics and some new ones such as using lots of tear gas as a smoke screen. Im always leading a small squad of players with intense teamplaying. So all you finnish people interested in my leading can try to take contact with me. Im not having lots of people to play with nowadays since the 1.2 mostly ruined the game. Its about the two of us now, nAru-_o and I and we are never playing alone since this games is made for teamplaying and it just isnt fun otherwise. We play special forces because its just way better than the original and its more based on infantry.

and the [DICE]CEO what ever, I dont know about that, I assume its just a "joke name". Its a long time ago since I saw him. As you can see from his stats, he hasnt played much.
