I wouldn't say completely stop watching Spanish-language media , but still watching more English language media then Spanish would improve the learning process IMO.
I would be happy if they yanked it right off the airways (but I would miss some of the hotties they have on their programs )
Governator should governate all Spanish Media to help out with process.
I don't see the problem here. He's not saying they can't speak Spanish, or they should shut down the Spanish media. Immersion in a new language is the fastest way to learn it and he's absolutely right that immersing themselves in English will help them learn the language faster. The only story here is why these people are so opposed to learning the language of the country in which they live.

The guy's got a point, if he hadn't learnt to speak English, where would he be now? Being able to fluently speak the language of the country you live in should be compulsory.

Well, I guess that all of the ballots that are printed in Spanish won't be punching the box by the Governator's name anytime soon!
It's the way it works, you move to a country & you learn the native tongue not make it harder on everyone else by being ignorant & unwilling to learn a new skill.
I've done my best to learn the basics of spanish, the least they could do is the same.

It's kind of sad when people go to another country and try to avoid the immersion aspect as much as they can.
I'm going to be an exchange student 2 years from now and I can't wait for the immersion. It just adds so much more to the experience.
