Many countries in this world need USA, USA and the western countries will all fight about gaining valueable and strong economic power in the near future. The problem is that USAs currency is very unstable since 9/11. The US and A, is a net importer. The Euro is treathening the dollar because the dollar is depended by people that actually trades with the currency.

EU, in a few years the EU will be bigger than the US, and the problem is that EU has it's own currency, and military force, smells like country for me, the only differance is cultures and language. They have own parlament and EU laws are all above the regular ones.

In believe that all the members in the EU are like big states, in a whole country. This will be a problem for the US, since the EU members will probably trade with €, making the US dollar weaker and weaker. The only thing that is keeping this from happening is China, China is a big dependant country. Especilly by the US, many companies are doing large investments in China, items and merchandies that are produced in China are mostly exported to American shops.

hell no
the EU is getting too big letting weaker economies in thus weakening the euro thats one of the reason the £ is so strong.

and its not as simple as merging all EU states together like the US. We have history, long history. Rivalries as well. France hate germans. Dutch hate Germans. French hate British, etc...

If the EU and US went to war the EU would win. what would happen to Britain IDK we have strong ties to the US (for obvious reasons) but EU is closer and more apliccable. And before the EU gets that powerful i see way to many imagrants coming in to be supported and i predict voilance of people wanting their country back.

The british Pound is an "all-time-strong" currency like the "Franken" in switzerland....thats depending on the constantly good running economies of those countries...
The € isn't getting weaker all the time...the € have highs and lows, like the $...you couldn't say, how this would be in 5 or 10 years, because of the many influences which effecting those 2 currencies...

And hell yeah, French hate German and British...but French are hating everyone, except frog-thigh.gobbleing people...so that is no measuring rod...
But in reality many of the young people from France, German, Britain and the whole Europe doesn't realy think so. Thats only "old sayings" for the most of them...
So forget about it and the influence to the currency...your East-Coast vs. West-Coast crap doesn't effected and effect the $ too....

I dont think that is going to happen, the Yen may rise, but its not gonna pass either the USD or the Euro.

The dollar will most certainly collapse in the near future if we don't practice some sort of fiscal responsibility and attempt to remedy our trade deficit....

muahahaha (ok, you're right if you're comparing the model of the US and the EU)

No seriously, Europe has been a continent of changing borders and in the end, we don't hate each other at all.
Furthermore, I don't even see the EU becoming one nation eventually, as language barriers are here, there and everywhere. We have, however, managed to understand that an economy and a huge internal market are positive aspects inside a Union and that, if we all can rely on each other, only face the advantages.
Inviting lesser developed countries into the EU (not Turkey, though) does not mean the Euro will get weaker at all. There are strict criteria that the countries who apply it have to fulfill, and the east of Europe is an ever growing market. It is correct that we all have to spend a little more for a few years, but it takes only little to build up something great and what we'll get back in about 10-15 years is much more rewarding than what we'll have been spending.

by allowing in weaker nations the EU is supporting those weaker nations and is making them stronger untill they're just as strong as the main nations, whihc granted will take time but will be very worthwhile eventually. The main reason that the EU isn't much stronger than it is now is because we all speak different languages although many people in the EU speak english as a second language, and very well i may add if there were to be a unified language it would probably be english, although i am biased here as i am english and i hate the french language.

The EU will keep getting stronger to prepare for the rise of the MEC
