well on my PC I have an outside PC censor  which detects pc temperature  plus I have software which came with my video card and measures my Nvidia video card and the temperature around it.

Also you can go into BIOS and check your pc  temperature.

What GPU do you have?

Different GPUs run at different temperatures.

CPU cores are about 30*c on light load (C2D e6600), GPU 40*c idle fan on 30% (ATi x1950, factory OCd, ICEQ3 cooler), HHD 1 2 & 3 steady 26*c, chipset 31*c, ambient 28*c.

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/118268 <--- i recommend that to anyone with cooling problems (think you're about the 4th person this week lol)

Download a couple of little apps to run on task bar

coretemp and ATI tool

Core temp tells you the temp of your cpu and at1 tool does the same for your graphics cards

easy to find in google

also another good monitoring tool is cpuz

hope that helps

roughly my temps are:
idle: 25-30°C CPU, 40° chipset, 40° GPU
load: 50°C CPU, 45°C chipset, 60°C GPU (yay for thermalright heatsinks, with the stock cooler it was approaching 80°C)
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Also as to coolong

Good cpu cooler is a Scyth ninja.

My machine is overclocked to 360 Mhz FSB and cores are at 20 degrees at idle uptp about 35 in bf2
Gpu runs hotter at between 50-70 degrees

Idle -
CPU - 21C, GPU - 27C

Load -
CPU - 30C, GPU - 35C

Antec 900 gaming case and a AC7 PRO COOLER for my CPU. I win.

Every post between my last one and this is utterly meaningless until you all edit your posts to include what GPU/CPUs you have!

Different CPUs/GPUs run at different temperatures.
