More Parents playing video games w/ kids

The article talks about how more & more parents are playing video games with their kids.

Personally I know of two father-son teams that play together on our servers.

Do you play video games with your kids or parents?

Is it just Wii games or regular PC games too?

But there have been a couple times when I've been playing NHL07 on XBox360 and my mom has come in, sat down, and then been like "oh what the hell? this isn't hockey!"

on of my mates dads was addicted to pocket tanks (stupid little 2d tank game) but then he got him into call of duty and battlefield42...

the only games ive played with my dad/mum are grand turismo3 and a couple other racing games all on the playstation1/2. no fps or other good games

phhhft my parents thinks playing video games is a "waste of time" and that it turns "good children into violent mass murders" and besides my dad has trouble turning on the speakers. i was out with friends and he phoned me and i answered: "PRESS THE ON BUTTON!.....NO NO not the ligh switch the ON BUTTON ON THOSE TWO THINGS ON EITHER SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN!" ....my parents are a bit slow on computers.

I use to play Goldeneye 007 with my dad when I was young.. he never really got into PC games though.

A guy a work with mom plays Gears of War and owns him at it..

I also know a mom/sonx2/dad that all play BF2 together..

Well the only games my mum and dad played where ones on the gamecube, I played super smash with my mum.
She kinda enjoyed that but ofcourse she wasnt really good at it she was quite oke with nsfu2 tho xD

My dad has played nsfu2 with me a few times, but he finds it hard to keep his car straight and not to ram every wall....so he sticks to the rl speed limit

Way back in the day, me and my dad played Golden Eye on the N-64. It's good to hear that more parents are playing with there kids. Kinda like 21st century bonding.

My old man wouldnt know the first place to start when using a computer, let alone play games, He played a couple of N-64 games back in the day with us. I know a guy who plays BF2 with his 3 sons, they are sort of like little clan, its pretty cool

true story here, a friend of mine, his parents where addicted to WoW, and the mom met someone from europe and divorced the husband and is now living with this guy from WoW...

My mom and dad beat Super Mario 64 before I did. My dad beat LOZ:OOT before I did. My dad got BF1942 just as I was thinking about getting it, so I went out the next day and got it. Our router sucked at the time so no online play, but we played LAN against bots for a looooooong time. The BF2 came along with a router upgrade and I play BF2 with my dad, along with him playing at various LAN parties in my garage.

Edit: Oh yeah, and my mom has an intense addiction to Tetris.

My dad plays quite a bit of video games when he can, hes completed just recently the Medal of Honor allied assault series (with help from me ), and he also plays pro evo 6 with me and my 3 other brothers in a league we made up, but hes at the bottom lol!

He plays many other games with us like fifa, pro evo, call of duty and battlestations midway.

But my fucking mom hates gaming, she says its the 'blight of her life', because i like playing it and she doesnt basically.
Oh and does anyone else who is living with their mum ever get a threat like, 'Im going to put a hammer through that fucking thing and chuck it out' ?

My little one is too young to understand computer games yet,she is quite happy just hitting the keyboard.

i remember my dad would play Halo with me back when it came out. He sucked at it but it was fun anyway

i tried to get him into HL2 but he quit after bout an hour and never started again
