This conflict has been overshadowed in recent years. Many who speak against Iraq are labelled anti-war. How many people who disagree with Iraq still support a military presence in Afghanistan? When people make calls to "bring the troops home," there is an ambiguity about which troops exactly. Many Americans would feel that after The Incident, the actions taken in Afghanistan were appropriate. However, many more fell off of that bandwagon with the rise, fall, and mellowing out of the Iraq war.

I would say that the incursion therein is viewed as more "legal" than Iraq and has more support even though public opinion of military force has dwindled recently. Who knows, though? If the military was pulled out of Iraq and left in Af'stan, perhaps there would be a migration of resistance. Nevertheless, this issue has been put on the back burner of news and deserves some pondering.

Afghanistan made sense to invade.  We should be moving our troops out of Iraq and into Afghanistan to finish the job and keep an eye on Pakistan.
