Probably Bluescreened

(Microsoft had the genious idea to restart the computer as soon as it bluescreens, despite the fact that a Bluescreen has crucial information on why it bluescreened in the first place)

Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery

Uncheck Automatically Restart

If it does it again you'll know.

Good tip Cheez

This used to happen to me too.  I changed ALL of my graphics settings to low and now all that really happens is my BF2 will just close unexpectedly sometimes.  Luckily, I won't have to deal with any of that anymore as I've just clicked the "buy" button on my new computer.  Hope this helps.

Edit:  Just remembered someone on the forums told me a while ago that this may have something to do with your computer getting dangerously close to overheating and the shutting down is just a failsafe way to avert an entire PC meltdown.  So, this may also be the case if that person was correct.
