Black-hawk reflection bug

Was messing around on mashtuur and shooting at the black hawk close to it when i noticed it had the reflection of a mosque in one of the windows.

except the mosque is a good 600m away down a hill. (black hawk was at usmc bottom-right spawn)
turned it around a bit and there was a completely new image, but again not a reflection of what was around it, just a random area...looked a bit like the mini-tunnel on karkand between suburbs and square.

Just thought it was intersting.....

play wake island with an l96a1 (I think? correct me if im wrong), and look into the scope while its unzoomed, youll see the shipwreck near the airfield, no matter where you are on the map lol

Hmmm, I never noticed...
I have terrain on low, since i get some crazy artifacts if I don't, but everything else is maxed

I've never seen it, I didn't know you got reflections.
I have played with everything set to high as well.

If you take a scope and watch its reflection you get a reflection as if you were standing at one point and spinning around there, and not where you actually are. I noticed it on wake a while back and i thought, hmmm, thats interesting, this reflection i'm getting is if i were standing in the middle of the bay, not on an arm of hte island like i am.

essentially you have a fixed image that you pan over when you move your sniper rifle. interesting, but utterly useless in all ways

Yeah, i have seen that, i thought it was odd, it usually does rflect what is behind you though

nope, it can give that illusion, thats why i was so confused about it, but i eventually found out that it showed the same image.

i would boot up bf2 on high to learn waht i can, but i hate running bf2 on high unless i have to, it looks silly

no, it will show you the US spawn island if i face the wrong way, but the orientation of the sun causes the image to get shaded and its hard to see

well, I suppose if you were playing the game normally and just saw the reflection as nothing but a reflection, or hapenned to be facing roughly the correct way for the reflection to be accurate, you'd think 'ooo that's a nice touch' it's only when you get someone looking at it in more detail and noticing that it's really just a projected picture that it losses it's 'nice touch' status.

It's a bit like finding out father christmas isn't real, only less-so.
