The contents of the .con files in the [oth]stubbee persona are EMPTY.
I played it yesterday no problems

However today I started up and [oth]stubbee was no longer a choice at the login screen. It was just an empty line. I thought it is just a glitch so I restarted BF2 and nada.

Checked the corresponding folder in mydocuments and it exists and checked all the .con files and they exist BUT WERE EMPTY. Audio, general, video, maplist, bookmarks, etc they were all empty.

The contents of 2 other profiles were untouched.

Does EA have access to my computer? WTF

I have a copy of the data BUT WTF !!!!!!!!!

computer says each folder modified today. The only times I have been on was early this morning before bed and now.

Virus on your pc, you accidently deleted it or someone else accidently deleted it on your pc.

Pretty specific virus to target 8 files.

I would have to open each file, select contents and delete and confirm delete 8 times.

Nobody else uses this computer.

Something like this also happend to me once, i started up Bf2, loaded profile, all fine, started a game, and nothing worked, any button i pressed, nothing reacted. I didnt have a clue wtf was causing it. So i re-installed bf2, still the same problem, tried other account, everything worked fine there, got back to standard account, still the same. Then i finally thought about my settings, so logged in on that profile, and all controls were gone, all empty fields. So i just copied the controls.con file from other profile to that profile  and it all worked again. Still have no idea how the file suddenly got cleared
