YOU MOST CERTAINLY DID....Here are YOUR words!!!!!!!CameronPoe wrote:
Wow at DeathBecomesYu. We never for one moment gave any impression that Palestinians were being burned alive or gassed. We were using the term concentration camp as it is defined in the dictionary. I don't see how you can have a problem with correct English. I even used the Warsaw Ghetto specifically - NOT a Nazi death camp - to illustrate the similarities.
Here DBY this might help:

Qalqilya in particular is nightmarish. If this isn't a CONCENTRATION CAMP, I don't know what is. And I have been to DACHAU. The Israelis should be ashamed of themselves. How can Qalqilya possibly have any sort of economy at all!
You were comparing your pictures of the Palestinians (Qalqilya) to camps like Dachau and you invoke the image and feelings of the WW2 idea of concentration camps. These are YOUR words. So what images do you think people think of when you bring up Dachau/ WW2.........OF COURSE people will immediately think of death, murder, gassing...everything associated with what a WW2 German concentration camp (Dachau) was. So don't sit there and say you didn't do that when it is right there in your own writing. I completely agree with you that you could see a lot of similarities to a ghetto at that time, but you didn't stop there. In a couple of short sentences you link them all together....Qalqilya/ Concentration Camp/ Dachau. I know what the definition of a concentration camp is.....that is not the point.....the point is that YES...you did invoke those images of those types of camps and tried to compare it to the Palestinian situation now....and that is just totally out of context and absurd.!!
