the reason punkbuster doesn't do that great of a job is because they have to react, and hackers initiate the move, so they are working with an arm tied behind their back and blindfolded, so they have almost no chance. I realise this. But if you expect punkbuster to ever be ahead of people who code and create cheats, then you're being pretty naive. There will always be cheaters in online games, and punkbuster is the reason bf2 hasn't been ruined by them.Blehm98 wrote:

PB does a below mediocre job of monitoring, but their main problem is that they cover WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many games with such a tiny staff of people. It's pathetic. But when it comes down too it, I'd rather have some sort of cheat protection than not. But the best form of PB are the server admins who run a streaming server and actually check screenshots, logs, and ban the people that need banning. Hooray competent admins!
