Maybe it's a coincidence that this happened the same week Tony Blair was appointed Middle East envoy.

Apparently the bomb was found completely by chance by an ambulance crew who saw smoke coming from the car and deemed it suspicious. It appears that we have been very lucky on this one.

The strange is the driver was driving erratically and crashed into bins at 2am. Bouncers saw him and reported it to the police.

Another car was found abandoned in Hyde Park 30 ish minutes ago, but thankfully not a bomb. Army EOD did a bit of a good job ripping it to bits checking though.

Apparently they put nails in the bomb and the police said it would have been a carnage, the car was parked next to a nightclub where up to 1700 people were inside.
