Partly, from what I've seen Norwegian is similar to Swedish when it's written, in terms of pronunciation it's more different. And I can decipher some written Danish but that's about it

If you had learned Norwegian, you would have understood both swedish and danish aswell

Hall, I can't take Norwegian right away in my first year. I can only take it in my third year as an optional course, same goes for Finnish or Danish.

The languages you can combine in linguistics over here are: Dutch, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Latin, Greek, Swedish and French.
You can also take Russian and Polish but that is a fixed set. Then there's Chinese, Arabian, African languages but those are all seperate courses.

Btw oral exam in 3 hours, wish me luck.
