yes i did search, but the answers were wrong - i have done it before without battlerecorder, i know it is possible!

Yes, I know I am using Fraps to record it - but I was not using Battlerecorder. i am aware that the video sucks, it is old

Don't choose spawnpoint and press done. Then press 'space'. The bad thing here is that the spawn screen jumps on every once in a while.

If you mean the spectator mode, there is a big X on the above right corner of the spawn screen just press it and the spawn screen will not pop up again.

Its a serverside setting. If the server you are on allows it - you will be able to do it when you die, just hit the 'X' on the kit selection screen.
