I dont think Europeans are obsessed with the US. Its just our governments want to be best of pals with the US and most of us dont want to anymore. Americans are also the most annoying when it comes to WWII. They think that it was because of them that the war was won, completely disregarding Russia, without whom D-Day would not have been such a success. It was Russia that annihliated most of the Nazi army and weakened Germany which helped the ALLIES (See, allies, not US) pish forward.

The thing i dont like about Americans is that most are so full of themselves. They think what other countries do on the other side of the world, in their own house, is any business of them and get involved. People dont like other people getting involved in their business. And that is the reason the US is not really well liked anymore.

Oh, and the reason most of the Muslim world and Africa hates the US is because of US foreign policy which has killed millions in those areas by overthrowing goverments, installing puppet regimes, trading with rebels and the army etc etc.

Wtf have the female politicians to do in here?  Angela Merkel anyone.  Europe is way ahead in that matter.  Happy birthday, but remember Europe has thousands of years of history.
Thousands of years of fighting each other and talking smack about each other. Just look at English and French history. How many times did they kill each other?

exactly, not only did we save Europe from the Naizis, we saved them from the cominust too. Nothing against russians now, but back then, the whole, "Evil comunist" thing was  a big fear. You cant have wanted them to puse all the way into the wester tip of france. What would that be like today? go look up the game, Freedom Fighter. kida like that.

It was actually Russia that were the big help in stopping Nazism encroaching outside of Germany. The US did not stop communism, it was a COLD war, therefore Russia had to agree. And the other times that you have tried to stop Communism; Vietnam, Cuba and presently, North Korea. How well did they go.

Last point; You are talking about Communism spreading throughout Europe as being similiar to the Freedom Fighters game, which is set in the US. Good Game.

In short, EU = US.

True, Hitler deciding to fight a two-front war was folly. No one's arguing that point. But the bulk of the D-Day invasion was US. The overall command was US. Most of the equipment was US. It WAS a team effort, but the majority of the fighting and dying was done by the US. We commemorate the US participation in D-Day, just as I'm sure the Brits, Canadians, and others commemorate their own country's participation in D-Day. Is that wrong?

Wow. Utter hypocrisy. Which countries had colonies throughout those areas? Wouldn't be the US.

South Africa, anyone (Dutch)? How about Iraq (former British protectorate)? The Levant (Brits again)? Crusades (Europe)? The deep-rooted hatred is actually for the West...the US just gets the brunt because we get most of the press.

You are right on many points here FEOS. Europe is indeed guilty of sticking it's nose where it has no business throughout history and Wolphoenix's assertion that 'most Americans' are full themselves is a sweeping generalisation but I would, however, question your assertion that 'the majority of the fighting and dying was done by the US'. The United States lost less than half a million compared with the Soviet Union, who lost over 23 MILLION. Russia get way less credit for the defeat of the Nazi's than they deserve imo.

Visit China and get back to us. 1.3 billion > 300 million by any manner of rational thought, especially when both have nukes. Besides - the sentence you speak of is economically speaking. They already have the US and Europe over a barrel ffs.

Wow. You add so little to D&ST it's mind-boggling. Why do you bother posting here? Seriously. I mean about 90% of your posts are either 'fail', 'meh', 'lose', 'qft', 'qfe' or other such drivel. What is the fucking point?
