the M16 is a burst weapon, every M4 i have shot has been full auto.Freezer7Pro wrote:
An M4. You see it on the grip. It's just an old rev M4, not the M4A1.
BTW EA mixed up the M4 and M4A1 in BF2. The M4 is a burst-action weapon -.-
Does it really matter? Let the mods move it if they see fit.Parker wrote:
debate and serious talk is usually reserved for more controversial threads.
*most* of the gun threads i make go in the JD.

EDIT: I love 'over-proofing' people...wikipedia wrote:
The major difference between these models is that the M4 has a "S-1-3" (safe/semi-automatic/3-round burst) trigger group, while the M4A1 has a "S-1-F" (safe/semi-automatic/fully automatic) trigger group.

from what i remember the full auto capabilities were there for CQC aspects that the M16 couldnt deal with because of length and burst fire.
what are they using now that actually fires full auto, besides squad mgs?
It happened when the M4 went into mainstream use. I can't remember the year. We were taught to even use single well aimed shots in mount and cqc and yes, only the SAW is full auto.Parker wrote:
