When I heard this story on the news, and still with reading the article and above posts.

The idea of that priest from V for Vendetta, the pedo-bear-approved one, still comes to mind, call it my stereotype for bad priests lol.

Well, I don't know about sex crimes in particular, but some atheist regimes have killed a lot of people (Maoist China, for example).
