Because there's nothing around it, the building looks too small. Poor photography. They need more up close pictures. That in no way looks like the tallest building in the world. Whereas things like the Empire State, WTC, Sears Tower, even Canary Wharf look massive in Pictures. Because of the surroundings.

That building isn't even done yet. 650m top to bottom I've heard. Massive. None of that cheating Antenna stuff either. The floors go upto like 620m!

Sure, and there might be a spike in prices, but the reason Capitalism works so well is it's resilience.

Uh...........no.  The peasants worked to support the priests, but they were happy to, and the priests were nothing like a royal court: they used a minimum of resources and devoted themselves to the wellbeing of all.  You're thinking the same way the Chinese did, and it's exactly what cost them Tibetan support.
