Good post...  Fuck Mexico.  I wouldn't necessarily be against a second Mexican-American War.  A few choice "annexations" might solve some of our border issues.

Maybe a very long minefield along the new borders would get the point across as a final "fuck you" gesture as well.

And what's with all the spanish all over our products now?!  Everything you pick up at the grocery, department or any other store has a reverse side written in spanish.  There's even a spanish channel on my cable TV.  It's almost inviting illegals here, they don't even have to learn English before coming over because we've prepared everything they need in spanish already.  Now I'm all for being bilingual, great skill to have in today's world, but why make it easier for illegal aliens? The only spanish we should be seeing should be in schools where it's being taught as a second language.

We need a solid immigration policy and removal of spanish from our products. (btw, spanish intentionally left in lowercase in this post to show my disdain for the use of it in America)

I don't think gay marriage is ok but I feel we need to legalize the Mexicans that have been here working for the system. The point was that they come up with issues that supposedly will effect America for whatever reason and all of a sudden it's an eminent threat that we have to attack. The problem could most easily be solved by removing marriage from the government, replacing all legal recognition of marriages with civil unions, and setting these unions up to include gay partners.  Problem solved -- and it wouldn't even offend all the religious jackasses.

I know what you're saying about immigrants, but seriously, we have to enforce our laws.  Otherwise, why have them?

We need to deport illegals, improve our border security, and prosecute employers of illegals.

Sorry, I'm a religious jackass so gay marriage is offensive to me. But that's a different thread. Your solution to the immigration issue is, IMO, barbaric because it doesn't not take into consideration the millions of illegals that blend in with  our society and have made a good productive life in this country. To rip those people from their homes is wrong and not the answer.

What do you tell the legal immigrants?  "Sorry folks...  They did a good job of blending in, so they didn't have to follow our laws like you did."

If we give these people amnesty, what message does that send to future immigrants?

I'm ok with a compromise position of giving them a way to earn citizenship, but it should be stern and should make things quite clear that any infractions during the "probation" period will get them deported.

In addition to this, we need to fine the hell out of employers of illegals.  Maybe even the biggest offenders should see jail time.

1. Americans in Mexico, not welcome. Alienation. I have never complained about my treatment in Mexico, I never expect anything from the country anyways. BUT when an alien comes HERE, they expect the utmost respect and rights of every natural born American.
