We should set up Freedom Centers (by law you cannot take issue with anything that has the word “Freedom” in the title). Illegal Immigrants (IIs) will report to said centers. If they are fluent in reading, speaking & understanding American (we haven’t spoken English in decades) they are on The Fast Track. Otherwise, they are assigned to the Education Track.
Education Track: All IIs (over the age of 18) are sent to a compressed, one year GED/APL course (APL = American as a Primary Language). At the end of the year if they cannot pass the GED Exams or show fluency in American, they, and their family, are deported. During the year they are housed in Freedom Camps. If they pass the GED AND APL exams, then they enter The Fast Track.
The Fast Track: In the case of an II Family, the head of house hold (male or female) can choose from one of three career tracks, each one lasts three years:
Military: The head of household will enlist in the branch of service that is in most need of his/her particular skill set. Upon three years of honorable, satisfactory, active duty, the II and his/her family are granted citizenship. If the head of house hold is killed while on active duty (combat or not) then citizenship is granted to the family regardless of time in service. In the case of head of house hold, the IIs family will be housed on Military bases per normal.
Freedom Border Project: The IIs (and families) will report to one of 10 Freedom Camps along the US/Mexican border. The head of house hold will be employed in building the Freedom Border. Adult members of the house hold will be employed running the Freedom Camp (Mess halls, laundries, housekeeping, etc.). Minors will be sent to Freedom Schools. The term is for three years. If the Freedom Border is completed before the three year term the head of household will serve as a Freedom Guard along the border. If any illegal aliens make it across the border during his/her watch, the II & family are deported.
General Freedom Service: For those IIs who are not fit (or the head of household is not fit) for either Military Service or manual labor at the Freedom Border Project, they will be assigned to General Service. These folks will spend three years maintaining the Freedom Camps and domestic Military Bases. All adults in the family will also be employed, all minors will be sent to school. 1. Take ALL legal aliens who (1) speak English and can pass a test to prove it, (2) have jobs lined up - services would flourish once this became a law, and (3) have no serious criminal history. The country was founded on immigrants and I'm all for those motivated enough to fit in and work hard. Bring every single one of them over.

Did you read the article? The whole scheme is aimed at decreasing unreported crime, preventing the victimization of immigrants, and aiding policework. Honestly, I prefer direct results and peoples LIVES over a set of national talking points. Honestly, this forum seems to think illegal immigrants aren't people, and don't deserve to be treated as people. The lack of sympathy and the degree of political bullshit flowing around here is appalling. Besides, they are not "allowing unchecked illegal immigration" they are simply issuing IDs and turning a blind eye momentarily for the greater good of the community.
