BF2S Forums I need some BF2 advice... please help

Well I sure hope there's a way considering there would be no point in single player if you had to have internet to use it...  Just try starting up the game and logging in.  I think it'll say something about no internet connection and let you play single player.

If you don't want to play the 4, 16 player maps that ware there under the single player tap against the AI with options easy, medium and hard, you should be able to host a Local Coop Game, and then set up a server, with AI, and then you will just have it that you are the only one on the server.  Not positive, haven't done it in a while, but I am pretty sure that you can do that.

So far the only way to get bots would be to play single player, if you create a local multiplayer server then you can play on the larger maps but they will be empty.  This is the one thing that completely infuriated me about BF2, no multiplayer co-op Vs AI on large maps

then find some mods that can put AI in lan and put them on a disk, take it home, install the mod and play 64player maps with bots.

Surfing from work, don't tell my boss.....I'm trying to stay away from SP mods. Just want to play the default SP. Already have PR and POE2, enough mods for my PC. FH2 is next.

While we're on the subject, does anyone know if there's a way to alter the net code for this game so it doesn't check for an internet connection a million times when logging in?

Half the time when I log in I've forgotten to fiddle with my firewall, so the game is blocked. It doesn't check just once, and realise there's no connection. It sits there for 10 minutes, constantly trying to connect to the internet - locking up the machine in the process. It's irritating, and there has to be a way to change it.

As for everybody, thanks for the help. I got SP up and going. For some reason I thought one needed the internet to play SP, guess not.

What I found out funny while I was playing Single Player yesterday is that they had an Mec soldier called R. Lopez.... lol. Yeah thoses Ay-rabs sure love Hispanic female ass. Who doesn't? Thanks.

The single palyer creation is not very clear on Battlefield 2.
At the beginning you may think you are creating a new online profile...
They should have made it better !
