Brief description of problem: When I connect my new modem ( Paradyne 6381 ) to my Router (Linksys WRT56G) It does nothing, But when I connect the modem directly to my computer(How I'm posting this) It works fine.

My old solution was I had my network setup like:  Modem>My PC>Router>Other PC's VIA router, But for some reason about a week ago I could use the internet but nobody hooked to the router could.

Is my router shot? It's only about 2 months old.

Thanks in advance for any help, I've been pulling my hair out trying to fix this P.O.S.

You need to set up your WRT54G to use the modem settings I assume.

Plug into the Linksys and go to 192.168.1.1

Put in your ISP details into the Linksys.

I hope this helps. I got no idea why Americans have separate modems and routers. AG241 ftw!

I just realized my modem uses PPPOE, I really don't have any clue how to set up a router to deal with that.

Sounds like you are using DSL. It is simple to set-up if you follow the directions of your manual

In your router WAN settings make sure you enable PPOE protocol and enter the primary email address of your DSL account. All other settings you can ignore.
