I was inspired by another topic that isn't going anywhere, to make this one.

Place next to each crime what you feel a just punishment would be.


Murder: Life sentence for premeditated murder (min. 25 years), min. 15 years for 'lesser' murders (not premeditated)
Animal Cruelty: Heavy fine, probation and in extreme cases up to 5 years prison.
Rape: min. 20 years.
Grand Theft: Anything up to 5 years.
Treason: Depending on the nature of the case (e.g. whether lives were put at risk) anything up to 20 years.
Robbery: 5 to 8 years (depending on whether force or weapons were used etc.)
Child Molestation: Life (min. 25 years)
Child Neglect: in minor cases removal of children into care and heavy fine, in bad cases anything up to 15 years prison.
Perjury: Dependant on the seriousness of the case/scenario.
Defacating in Public: Errrr ...a fine I guess, more if it's near a kids playground or something!
Streaking: A fine and a slap on the wrist.
Possession of marijuana: Should be legal anyway
Possession of other narcotics besides marijuana: If in large quantities with intent to supply (depending on the class of the drug) anything up to 15 years.
Driving under the influence: If no one is injured anything up to 6 months jail, with license suspension and fine. If someone is injured anything up to 15 years depending on the severity of injuries/death.
Manslaughter: If self defence then nothing, in other cases depending on the severity anything up to 20 years.
Destruction of Private Property: Heavy fine, probation and anything up to 1 year in prison.
Assisted Euthenasia: Should be allowed in certain cases anyway.




At your disposal: Prison time, community service, revoked liscense, etc etc
