I just bought a BFG 8600GT OC for 169$CDN (tax+shipping included) and was reading the reviews after i bought it, I don't have the card yet but it soon arrive soon.

Like I just said I started reading reviews and such and saw the the HD2600XT is cheaper then the 8600GT OC.

I was wondering, should I resell the card I just bought and go buy a HD2600XT ?

I would like to also know the performances/price/quality/etc of both cards. and which would be the best bet.

And please no "go with Nvidia because ATI sucks."

I'd just stick with the 8600GT OC. Looking at the reviews, there doesn't appear to be much difference except that:

a) the 8600 has a higher memory interface (or did I just read it wrong!) ;
b) the 8600 uses slightly less power.

The 8600 always seems to perform either on par, above or just ever so slightly (~5FPS) worse than the HD2600. You wouldn't notice that kind of difference, usually. So I'd just stick with the 8600 for now!

Too bad the 8600's aren't as good as the 6600's and 7600's were compaired to their x800 counterparts. By x i mean 6/7 not the ATi card. Damn video card business is confusing with the numbers and the GTi stuff. They ain't cars!

thanks guys, i'll see what others might say but like leetkyle already said I might stick with the 8600 for now
