Common mirrors only reflect about 90% of the light shined (?) at them, hence why if you put two mirrors facing each other they don't go into infinity, just eventual greenness. If that 10% is enough to heat it up and melt/burn through it, then no (to the original question).NooBesT wrote:

What is hilarious is that I have some airplane book from the early 80s that show all of that... It is just conceptual drawings, but it looks exactly like the real things.
It even includes the same description on how it will work...
Amazing how either:
1) The military really has a lot more than they let on...
or
2) The military's think tank is just that good, to invent things almost 30 years before the technology catches up to make it possible...
I realize someone has to think of it before it gets built, but looks like the same plane in the drawings, same placement of the lasers, everything...
