Is there a way to get a headset to work in BF2 without ventrillo or teamspeak? I always hear people talking in my squad and the box lighting up next to there name in the squad/team area but I can't seem to get mien to work? not sure if I'm doing it right. My headset it setup property and it works but just not in BF2.
Yes, use the "B" key for squad chat and the "V" key for commander chat.
Did you...possibly read the controls before playing?

I have had a allot of problems getting this game to work so I have been lucky to play but i might have missed something witch is why I was asking. I have played other on-line games and you just used button on the headset and that was it. This is my second week playing this game on line. I had it for 6 months but only played in single player mode to get use to everything. Than I did the Vista upgrade and everything changed.

6 months of single player to get used to everything? Boy, are you in for a surprise :p
Yeah I already seen the big difference. I don't mean I literally played for 6 months, just here and there on and off. My point was that I just started to do it on line. Mostly because i could play around and pause when i need to instead of being in the middle of a 45 minute non stop death match. know what I mean
for some reason, even though you practiced for half a year, your still a noob

Dirt, here's some advice: lay off the IO Karkand. Use vehicles, they're fun.

Yeah genius, I played around with the game not the mic. If I'm playing single user I really don't have a reason to use a headset. Not to mention when I started to play and bought this game, I wasn't sure what to expect in mutliplayer mode. Not all games have voice within them and have to use Teamspeak or something else. Unlike you I don't sit around all day un-employed playing games and ripping on people because they don't know how to do something. If you gonna be a jagoff go do it somewhere else and yes I'm a noob at this game. I do have a life outside of BF2 and don't study it and play 24/7 like your holiness .

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Jagoff
I know I did.
Yeah I like Karkard and the consent action. My other problem is getting a joystick to work with jet and helicopters. I can get all the buttons to work but the stick does control anything. If i could get it work, I would but that's my other post.
It's a polite way of saying it. Just pisses me off that I'm just trying to ask for help and I get crapped on. I'm not gloating or bragging but politely and respectfully asking for a little help on something.
