BF2 trouble

Everything is running fine, but today I joined the US server. Wait for the map to load... I'm in. I see the spawn screen appear and move my mouse towards kit selection. When I see my mouse, frozen in the middle of my screen, I know something's wrong. I hit Tab, only to be staring at my spawn screen. Uh oh. So, I hit grave,(~) and instead of the white drop down, I see kit selection. Crap. I exit out of BF2 and start again. Join the server, wait for load, blah blah. Same thing. This cannot be good. I restart my computer, and follow the steps once again. Still nothing. Fuck.

The one thing I did notice is that instead of the border of the spawn screen being solid gray, it was more or less transparent. Same with the top of the screen where it says the spawn time.

So, is BF2 fucked up big time, or nothing I can't fix?

check your "controls" in the BFHQ. Sometimes, for no reason the control get wiped. Hit "default" or reset in the controls if the controls are blank.

No, my mouse doesn't move. I can't even select a spawn point to spawn at.

Unplug your mouse and replug it in. Reset controls. Restart comp. This happened to me, well something like it. My mouse was moving on its own, no matter how many restarts I did. Finally I unplugged it and blew compressed air into the port and plug and it was normal after that. So try that!

No. My mouse works fine, as long as I'm not playing BF2. Other than BF2, it's fine.

It sounds like things are seriously messed up. Obviously a reinstall seems like something to try. I have lost my mouse in BF2 before and it was a video card problem, but I have no idea what your comp's problem is.

Back up your My Documents\Battlefield 2 folder before you do it so you can save all your controls and other settings.

Alright, this is pissing me off. Reinstalled, repatched, join a server.

SAME FUCKING THING

I can see my mouse, but it WILL NOT MOVE.
It works on my desktop, works when I'm choosing a server, works when I'm clicking 'Join Game.'

Anyone, please.

Yeah this is a common problem that's got something to do with the My docks BF2 folder, just delete/backup and try bf2 again (just remember your details)
