Just saw some short movies about them on youtube. So, I'm wondering, how good are they anyway? Could they beat an NBA team?
Um... Most likely not. If im correct, pretty sure they are NBA rejects. They do alot of tricks and whatnot, but they play against a team that doesnt even defend very hard. My guess would be, no, they couldnt beat an NBA team, not even close
Im not sure if they could beat an NBA team but DAMN they look good in a game
there games r rigged they can NEVER lose
If you didn't know already.. The Harlem Globetrotters game is all staged.. Its just an act, they do the routine/moves every time..
I went to see one is Sydney a long long time ago. Sure the guy can throw it over his head into the hoop from halfway, but his pace and endurance wouldn't nearly stand up to any real players from the NBA.
They came to Vancouver at least like 8 years ago and I went to go see them, some of the stuff was pretty Amazing, but you couldn't do it in a real game..Kommander_Kale wrote:

Rofl, e.g. wearing microphones while playing? Walking in a circle on the floor while dribbling?LT.Victim wrote:

The Globetrotters have lost in the past.
Would be fun to watch a game, even though it might be rigged (?). Think they have been in Norway, but that's probably many years ago... when I was a child.
They're really, really fun to watch!
I played high school and college ball and was invited and participated in quite a few recruiting camps back in the late 80's. I played against players that have played pro and have played for the Globetrotters (again, back in the late 80's). One of my assistant coaches was a "Washington General"..now known as the New York Nationals...the guys who play against the globetrotters and yes, the whole thing is staged for the most part. They do play hard at some points of the game to show real basketball...but people come to see the Globetrotters and the show.
Anyhow, the players on the Globetrotters are guys who have tried to make the NBA and are considered semi-pro players at best. Some may hook up with a team now and then but the Globetrotters are an entertainment based athletic show. They could NOT beat an NBA team. Maybe on a seriously off day by one of the worst NBA teams, but it would be a fluke.

My team of mutant atomic supermen can take on the Globetrotters any day.
The Globe Trotters in the '70's were ahead of the NBA with their razzle-dazzle, nowadays the NBA overshadow them. I would see them though but G.Trotters never/rarily stop by in Columbus, OH. The only entertaining sport we get is WWE RAW or SmackDown which I have gone. It is nice to gawk at Lilian Garcia and her short minis.
