I really need to buy a new graphics card, but I'm 17 w/o a job and barely have enough for this.

My current specs:
AMD 64 3200+
1 GB RAM
180 GB HD
Onboard Audio
Onboard Video - ATI Radeon 200Xpress (I know amazing I can play bf2 even on low)

I don't have much cash, and this looks like the best budget card.
I need suggestions on whether to buy this, or if for the same price I can get a better card.
All I need to card to do is run bf2 with a decent frame rate.

You could try the card you posted, or this one (I don't see the XXX on Newegg)

Just make sure you have the PCI Express port for the card.

edit: The nice thing about the second one is that it's DirectX 10, so if you ever upgrade to Vista you can use DX10.

im not suprise i have same specs except my computer has 2 GB of ram. I'm just wondering how much fps do u get with 1 GB?
BTW i get around 30 frames which to me is alright but i know lot of ppl that would not stand that.

I'm using the 7600GT and it runs BF2 with everything on high for me. I've got a dual core processor and 2gigs of ram however. You should be able to get a nice frame rate with good graphics with your current setup though.

well I get terrible fos now.
On all low settings I'm not sure about fps.
After playing cs for 5 years I'd guess around 15-20 average.
SF maps are the worst for me, especially Iron Gator.

i have just got my self a 7600 gt agp i have a amd 3000 2 gig of ram i can run everything on high i got mine for $200.00 just save a bit more money and get one if you can

I can vouch for the 7600GT a great budget card. You would be able to run BF2 on medium - high.

My setup is similar to yours and i run everything on medium 2x AA at 1280x1204 with 30-40 FPS
