OK, maybe the title should have been turned 19, because strictly speaking today was (still is) my birthday.
My twin brother and I both turned 19 today (pretty obvious), so 19 years on this beautiful blue planet of ours, and I've still to figure out the subtleties of life. Today didn't actually feel too special, probably because I believe everyday should be as special as the day before and as the day which follows. Today just marked 19 full years of existence (should be 19 years and 9 months), but there wasn't alot to feel.
I've spent the past two years visiting this forum, and I truly believe BF2s is a wonderfully tightknit (albeit with some lonewolves) community. It is amazing that we may never see each other and meet each other in person, but we can still maintain a friendship over the internet.
Next year we'll hit the 2-0. I think that will really be a milestone because the moment you get a 2 infront of your age people treat you more like an adult.
To all of you who have not yet passed your teenage years, I say this: cherish your childhood, adulthood is a big, hectic, sometimes rewarding world where progress is key. Responsibilities will get dumped onto you, some good and others not so good, and most likely you'll forget your innocence as a kid. Have fun!
And to all those who have more experience than I do (older members), I say this: I hope you're enjoying your life, there is so much to live for in the world of adulthood if you seek it, but don't neglect your inner child! Soon, we will be joining you in the ranks of perceived adulthood, and become brethren of our beautiful blue planet!
