As it says In the title...
So I built my comp and have had it running for some time new and has been running like a dream.
Today however it would not boot! So i turn it on and for some reason it does a quick memory test so i let it finish that then i get the msg
"PS/2 Mouse error  or no PS/2 mouse present" I'm thinking yeah that's right cos its in the USB so any way press F1 to continue then it says
"verify BOOT failed"
"Please insert system disk and press enter"
So I do this but nothing happens??? i check my keyboard no probs there and plug my mouse in the  PS/2 port and i still get the same msg.  WTF?
I ant changed any thing the the whole rig has been working fine for about a month.

Thanks for your help

I'm hoping you mean system disk Can you insert a Windows disk? If so, are you being forced to reformat etc?

I can put into the drive but it asks me to press enter when ready but when i do nothing happens.
Why am i being forced to reformat? Theres stuff on there that really need to be kept.

Does the computer "beep"? If so, how many times and in what format? (eg. three quick beeps)

In your BIOS, (you'll find it in "Boot" or "Hard Drives" or something similar) - is your primary hard drive (the one with Windows installed) in the top slot? (Excluding DVD-RWs etc - they can be first as well. Just to make sure that your actual Windows drive is the first hard drive listed)

Rofl. I think you definetely need to have a part RMA'd - did you buy your system as a whole?

Lately i also built a new rig and everything was fine until one day it didn't boot anymore. I figured out that a broken RAM  was the reason. Try to boot your system with only one memory slot occupied.  If this won't work switch the memory bars and reboot.  Maybe this helps.

Good luck
