Hi

this is a simple question which i have searched the forum for and cannot find and your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I started playing BF2 particulary Wake Island (vanilla) and from time to time i try to drop the vehicle on the carrier so i can have something to do when i command and i never have been able to do this. ive tried dropping it close to the carrier but obviously when you try to drop it on the carrier you dont get the option.

This evening to my amazement and horror i was chasing a plane back to the carrier and the commander was in a DPV.

Can it be done and if so how.

It can, you have to aim at a certain spot just off the carrier and the plane will land on it, there's a youtube vid of it somewhere, was posted here recently.

you have to put the vehicle drop icon right next to the little spot in between the pad where the f35 takes off and carrier.

If you're looking for vehicle time when commanding, I suggest you take a boat and drive it to the carriers backside away from horny baseraping pilots.

Actually aim a little bit inwards if your fast enough before it changes to the crossed circle the dpv will land more then 60% on the carrier giving you a better chance to get in and reverse it before it teeter toters over into the water.
