When you say clear, you mean clear of knowledge? In that case, the Apple...
exactly.

In the image, it looks practical, sexy, no wires etc. Hell, I could have that Mac in my living room.
So you proved my point then. Stupid people buy Apples because of commercials.
I wouldn't call them stupid.

You have to agree, the Apple's look sexy. One of the reasons I'm a big Apple fan is the look. I can admit that.

But I wouldn't call people who buy that stupid. The modern style is all about things looking good. Even some of the most tech-brainy guys I know use macs at home, because they look good.

And to be honest, Macs aren't bad either. The only thing PC's beat them with is Gaming.

And to those who say that graphic design is the same - I wonder why most Designers use macs?

Wow. Style.
I could really care less.

Will my computer be able to play Crysis with ultra high settings and 50 FPS? Yes.
Will the mac? No.

Will my computer be able to run more tasks, cope better and play everything at full setting for the next year or so? Yes.
Will the mac? No.

Is my computer sexual and nice to look at? yes
Is the mac? yes, more but I don't sit and stare at my computer thinking how lovely it is.

I use it.

This is not me btw, I am just giving an example.

Nice advertising, too bad it's bullshit.

All the advert is meant to advertise is simplicity. I think it's done it's job.

I really do wonder why designers use Macs, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Cinema 4D, Sony Vegas, etc etc run no differently on a Mac, I'm not sure some of them run at all on a Mac actually, the controls alter a bit thats it, macs have weaker hardware in them in general than PCs do, the logic escapes me.

BTW I've used some of the Adobe software there on a Mac, I didnt see any advantage what so ever, no performance increases, no extras, no perks, no differences at all, it was like using it on a PC with some shortcuts altered, whats the point in a Mac? I really honestly and genuinly cant see one good reason why any moderatly I.T. literate person would choose the current range of Macs over a desktop PC, they use the same hardware, just weaker in Macs, the OS is different but offers no noticable performance gains, Macs have fewer viruses written for them, near none, woo fukin hoo, I've had a PC for years and got one virus in that time, which I got rid of and that was on win 2k, it was W32.Blaster.Worm for those interested, meant I couldn't use my internet for a day while a fix was written, the day Mac OS gets targetted with something slightly dangerous it's going to crash and burn horribly, and it will happen now it's moving closer and closer on a parrallel with PCs, it's easier to code something to target them.

Only... this box is on your table!

The plot thickens...

Pessimist I agree. OS X is innovative and all, but I'd love it if Apple made PCs that were as sexy as their Macs.

Nice little bit of unrouted propaganda from Apple.

As for wires being a bad thing:

Don't give me that, thats the oldest illogical argument that a mac fan boy has used.

Maybe the people who like to design like the way macs look. EVER THINK OF THAT?

There is no advantage or disadvantage of using photoshop on a mac or a pc.

Yea I really don't see how using a mac suddenly makes multimedia that much easier. I remember when i took a trip to my local ABC news or NBC or whatever station. We saw tons of little editing rooms full of PCs.

I do like macs. I like the OS I like the look but, I am not gonna pay twice as much for a PC with the same specs.

I admit. I used to be wireless. but everything ran out of juice and I got stuck with no batteries/charge.

With wires I can, lol, Hardwire things in place and be done with it.

You fools....

PC's are superior for one reason:

They are bulkier, and can kill a zombie with a blow to the head.

If YOU were in your room, and a zombie suddenly attacked you before you could get to your nerd weapon of choice (ie: phaser, lightsaber, etc) your computer would be your only option that was instantly available.

The poor Mac user might slow a zombie down a little, with a well placed cranial blow, but throw a PC tower at that brain sucking zombie, and he is DOWN.

I think the choice is pretty clear.

Through OSXs architecture, it doesn't matter if a PCs components are narrowly better. PCs are more prone to crashing and reliability issues, hence the video editor uses a mac. Final Cut Pro and so on in absolutely awesome software - no one can deny that. For general ease-of-use, a large multimedia network - a mac offers much more than what a PC would ever do. Oh, and they also do do gaming - very well I might add. I should know because I've done it! Ask B if you want to know what it is like - I've played with him on 2142 constantly and he never complains of the system crashing, despite running XP. The macs components and architecture of them are just more sound.

On the other hand, through the lack of expandability I couldn't survive on a mac now. I am currently doing a very large video VHS-DVD transfer (400+ hours) and I needed to add TV cards and so on to my computer - this couldn't be done on a mac.

Both systems rock.
