One shot kill tank vs tank??

I was playing surge as Spetz, and hopped in a T-90 and headed towards the first flag. I came around a corner, and an enemy, also in a T-90 got me with one cannon blast. I didn't even see him.. I respawned and thanks to a good commander spotting him, I snuck up in another T-90 and initiated a fight. I blast him with cannon in the side, he turns and one shot, I am dead. Repeated this about two more times, and finally got the attack chopper, and took him out..

Is this one shot=death tank a hack or clitch? I was driving straight at him each time, I usually got the first cannon blast, and still came up on the short end..

Did not get the guy's name, because I was so ticked and was getting taunted the whole time. Anyone else ever see this??

Not really but I've had moments where I KNOW the circumstances I'm in against a tank when I'm in a tank and the opposing tank wins... when I've put in more shells and performed more manuevers than that guy and he still took me out.

Either there's WEAKSPOTS on a tank I don't know about or something else is goin' on, I dunno. But I know the same story you tell here friend.

^_^ takes 2 shots in the treads (not wheels) with at/tank and in certain spots of the turrent between the base of the tank and the turret in certain areas can take a tank down with 1 shot, when perfected gives u an upperhand :-) your welcome.

With server ping giving LOL sometimes lag can do that and when I think I hit the tank in certain spots, it actually hits somewhere else, but thanks man LOL

The back of the tank and the back/front of the treads are the best places to aim. If you're coming at them from the side, try to hit the wheels under the armored skirt. I can't confirm that there is a special 1 shot - 1 kill spot between the turret and the main body, but I have done lots of tests on this sorta thing on my own server. The biggest problem I can see with trying to hit under the turret is that most shots toward that area will glance off the armor and do 0 dmg. A tank can take endless shots if the enemy aims wrong.

Then again now that I recall some of the messed up situations I've had while I was in a tank... I remember wheeling around in a tank, I get into a fight with another tank and the tank hits me... dude, I DIED in the tank and ya know how the camera zooms out when you die? The tank was still there... someone else took it and wheeled out with it.

Thanks for the reply, it was just frustrating.. But very enjoyable to see the smack talk end when the attack chopper came up over the hill..

I guess what made me more suspicious is that the guy was taunting, saying "bring it again, I will kill you one shot again"... Most people who talk smack do so because they have some kind of advantage....

Should've returned the 'favor' and after you did that "I rule you!" I dunno, but glad you got something resolved.

Seeing you have the first shot, he prolly doesnt see you coming, so you should load up with c4 and park next to him. Then by all means he can blow you up, cause he's coming with you.

Sometimes when you aim between the turret and the body it hits it once, then the shell bounces and hits the tank again, initiating a dramatic chain of events resulting in a one hit kill. I'm a flat out tank whore and have only managed it four times. It's happened to me twice.

I got it from Chuy, who got it from mikeshw, but the actual creator was a Czech guy, whom you should see on the page. Anyways, when you download it unzip it then look at the internet file. There is an other weak sopt: The bottom of the tank. IF a tank rolls on a brigde, he goes 20° up. If you manage to hit him on the bottom, It takes only 2 shoots with AT equitment.

Play Surge, there is a bridge in the midle of the map where the russian tanks roll over. With a liltle bit of timing, a AT trooper can hold back an army there.

OKAY here's the "HOW TO KILL A TANK WITH ONE SHOT":

I know this works, I did it several times, but it takes either luck or careful aiming... you have to hit the enemy tank just between the body and the turret.... very weak spot in the armor... T-90s are the easiest to kill that way....
