Hello,

The problem is that my mouse is double clicking on a single click and i don't know what to try to solve such a ghey issue. It double clicks at random times, ie, sometimes it will single click as intended but other times it will just double click.

It happens in BF2 too i think although i haven't noticed it as much, however the problem is mainly on everyday stuff, like shit on the desktop and stuff, it's a real pain in the arse tbh.

I have tryed Newer drivers, changing double click speed (both increase and decreased values), changed the double click sensitivity in the registry, different USB ports and newer mobo drivers, nothing has worked so far.

I was browsing on a forum yesterday and someone had the same problem and he said that it might be something in the last windows update or something, which would make sense tbh as the problems started around that time. I guess i have a few options, the first might be to restore back to before the windows update, but that'd be over a month ago, which is a real pain as i'd have to backup shit loads of stuff

My mouse is a Razer copperhead btw.

Help pls

EDIT: I can't restore it to when i applied the update, so i'm fucked pretty much

when does it auto-double click?

when you try to open a program? Or always?

If it is only when opening programs, go to my computer.

Then click tools -> Folder Options

then check off "Open items on Double Click" or whatever under the General Tab

You can try this:

Open "My Computer"
Select the Tools Menu -- Folder Options.

In the first tab, there is a "click items as follows" section.

Select "Double-Click to open an item"

See if that works.

Edit:

Oh god that was so slow

It's set to double click to open folders. I have already looked over the basic stuff like that.

Then your mouse is, indeed, faulty.

Hmm i dont think it's the mouse, i'll try another and see if i get the same issue, i don't think this would just happen all of a sudden for no apparent reason.

It's a copperhead, i don't think the mouse is the problem, i think it's conflicting drivers or something.

Odd, sure it's not just set for double click in the synapse software?
