BF2S Forums Martyrdom in Hardcore servers.

i had 18 kills and 3 deaths from a hardcore match yesterday from a hardcore match. and i have crappy stats. you need to SLOW YOUR ROLE hommie.

here is my kit set up with what i decribed to you: p90 with laser sight, bandolier, double tap, deep penetration. and one damn grenade, so STFU you dumbass moron.

Mate you need to learn to keep running past people when you kill them at close range or move back. If you are trying to rambo though you deserve to die from a martyrdom nade.

first of all, let me clarify.
I think it's irresponsible for someone to have the Martyrdom perk while playing in a HARDCORE - note that - server. Because in hardcore, one or two shots will kill you for sure, and being anywhere near a grenade certainly will.
So, if you friend gets shot and lays a grenade where he died, 2-3 teammates are immediately forced with a decision: Leave their cover and risk getting shot... or get blown up by the grenade.

The reason I was ranting about it so fervently is because I had just spent a few hours in a server where more than half my team was using Martyrdom. about three of us on our team were constantly telling them to please change their perk, because they were accumulating quite a number of TK's.


now, i accept blame for the miscommunication here, because i was ranting.

Stay away from them and stick with the 2 that don't use it?

that's what we started doing, then someone would run up, get killed, and force us out of the position.
it's just... bizarre to me that someone would stick with that perk when they can see how much tk-ing their doing with it.

He's got a point though. You can seriously screw your teammates over if you use martyrdom all the time.

I don't really see why people even use that perk. I'd rather skip a few kills and gain another perk.

Phetal you are absolutely right mate. Its just that people dont understand you because they are so fucking awsome at COD4.

Using martyrdom on servers with FF on, SPECIALLY hardcore, is the dumbest thing you can do in this game. Its dumber than all other dumb things combined. Epic dumb. And it doesnt matter how leet you claim you are - those people will repeatedly TK you.

Say you're playing BF2. You're in a squad, under heavy fire, and all find cover around a corner. A teammate presses '4' and right clicks.

or do you believe that:

D) You fail at avoiding nades, so you should quit BF2?

I am talking about your teammates using it with FF on.
I don't "fail at avoiding nades" because A: I can't see them (hardcore setting). B: I can hear them, but because I'm a tight-budgeted college kid, I don't have 5.1 sound. C: If I ran away from every guy who died, many times I would surely be forced to run straight at the guy who killed my friend. And no, walking away doesn't work, because the extended range and damage of the nades.
