Well to be "recruted" to a good clan - I dont think it matters that much, propably everything is accepted if you are good, but LMGs/P90 with double tap are pretty insane.
Whats your definitian of a good clan. I'm pretty much done with clans most of them are scrubs anyways.

All of them - variety is the spice of life and shows you're a good player. This should be the end of this discussion.
to show your inf skills I would say medic, because in most inf wars there's only medics playing. AT is one of the most used kits in vehicle clan wars.
if the clan you want to join is a pubclan just use the kit's you like the most.

After playing through the game I couldn't just bare to lose my Rifle with a laser sight, it was so accurate and yet powerfull so I would go with that one.
I tried AK but since it took up way to much I instantly switched back to my M4/M16 or whatever rifle I had. Also use the one with grenade launcher so you can spam a bit to.
That or the sniper rifle that you get in some mission that fires pretty fast. It usually is 1 shot kill at stomach. Not sure about MP as I only really cared about SP.

For matches everyone uses the m4 on almost all the maps- especially if you're using the war mod. Silencer/bandolier/stopping power/deep impact and deagle is pretty standard. A few of the maps require a sniper on the team, and a few others require one mp5 guy but get good with the m4 first

I like the light machine gun, especially the RPK-74
if you have to ask this question, a "good" team is probably out of the picture. just practice with all the guns/perks, and see which ones suit you the best.
