Has a more in-depth story than halo 3? I was at halopedia.com and i was reading around and found a shit-load of things. Im curious to know what other games go this deep. I haven't seen any other game go this deep.

Half-Life. And honestly, Halo 3 itself doesn't have that deep of a story. It's all the extra stuff, in the books, on the internet sites, etc. where the story gets deep.

I vote for Ninja Gaiden. Granted its not the deepest story. Ninja Gets pwned. Ninja is resurrected. Ninja Eats Wheaties. Ninja has epic Revenge. On second thought, not so much. I like the Ace Combat storylines from Ace Combat 4, 5 and 0. But i cant say ive come across games with excellent storylines. Half Life 2 was good. heh.

Im talking about the halo series as a whole as in EVERYTHING books and all. Halo goes pretty deep and it does make sense about how the forerunners dissapeared at the same time humans came about. As in humans might be the forerunners. So in return the covonent are actually worshiping us. I hate how little kitties ruin a thread with stupid ass shit btw.

Well, since you want to count everything (out of game stuff) then just about any long standing RPG. Most defiantly the Final Fantasy series, The Elder Scrolls, and Zelda...

To name a few...Silent Hill, Half-Life, Starcraft, Soul Reaver (or Legacy of Kain series in general) if it comes down to Final Fantasy then I'd go with 8 because of it's subtle yet very deep underlining alternate timeline story...
