well. one point first: what did you expect getting with that cheap motherboard anyway? sure it isn't overclocking monster.... And you tried searching all those million topics about overclocking here? I'm too lazy to type it all again... ^^ and what about rest of the specs?

PS. check out the CPU temps too. not just motherboard temps. while running orthos.
and little warning to the end as always: THAT CPU IS FREAKING HOT EVEN AT STOCK SPEEDS!

Well, ASRock are usually horrible to clock... Locked mem/FSB ratios and bad capacitators.

if you've got cheap RAM (Especially Kingoston KVR) you won't be able to clock much. I can't get my KVR DDR2 to clock more than 10MHz without serious stability issues.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

ASrock boards basically can't OC at all, locked vcore and FSB ratios = virtually no chance of getting more than 200Mhz out of it.

I know I have one lol, my e6600 fails to boot at 2.7Ghz due to the locked vCore, pretty piss poor for a CPU that can hit 3.5 easily.

ASRock have some of the worst boards in existence.

Of course! Prescotts are hot at stock, but they don't get that much hotter by overclocking. Besides, they're some fo the best clockers ever. A 3.0GHz easily reaches 4.8GHz.

They're the big bad fuckas of modern processors.
