Just got this crashing error in Firefox which said that a file "nsBrowserOpt.dll" was the cause of the problem. After some searching on Google I found it to be a form of adware/malware. It would cause Firefox to hang or stop working. It wouldn't allow me to delete it for some reason so I just renamed it and then deleted it. A bit dissapointing though as I thought that Firefox was meant to be very secure. Oh and Spybot or AVG didn't detect the damn thing.
Hi
Yep, unfortunately you are right.. nsBrowserOpt.dll is most likely malware. No browser can boast 100% security, because other people will always be a step of head in this. You can try re-installing Firefox if it isn't too much bother (remember to back up data like Bookmarks etc). If not, I took a quick read up and you should take a read at the following places if you haven't already (already at the threads):
MozillaZine
BugZillaI hope this helps!

Firefox is secure meaning it cant be hacked. It wont stop you from downloading a virus that will cripple it. I would recommend a reformat or find a better antivirus like Nod32 and remove the rest of the virus.
