Curious to see who people are voting for in the upcoming election.
Personal choice: John Edwards. From what I've head when I've gone to see him talk, I like him more than any of the other candidates that have spoken. He is still taking questions from random people when he comes to New Hampshire. He doesn't plant the questions (although, that is far from surprising that Hilary did that, it's a common tactic and the only alternative is not taking questions). He has all the great and idealistic ideas of Obama with the experience to pull it off. Obama's message seems to be that he is "above" the system in Washington, but unfortunatly you have to work within the system to get anything accomplished, including reforming it. I just plain don't trust Hilary, and I think all the 3rd tier candidates campaigns' are more about recognition than getting elected.
That is, with the exception of Sen. Chris Dodd. I absolutely love this guy. I got to hear him speak and answer questions for a full hour and a half about children's issues. I gotta say, this guy has more experience reaching across party lines and making sure that the bills he puts together actually get through than anyone else I see running. He is just plain realistic. His message was, "Look, I don't agree with everything the Republicans want to do, and there are some issues that we just will never agree on. The fact remains though, that half the country is made up of Republicans and they want what is best for the country, we just disagree on the method. That is why I have worked tirelessly to put bills together with them that have both party's support and get passed." If only it wasn't for the fact that he didn't have a chance of getting elected I would vote for him, but I want to see Edwards in office, not Hilary or Obama.
