I have all my music/pics/videos stored on a hard drive different than the one windows is installed on. Is there a way that I can get Windows to recognize the folder with all my music in it as the default "My Music" folder? same with all the other folders
right click music ---> properties ---> location
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
If you have the space, move all the files into the already default My Music folder.
or
Move the (preferably empty) My Music folder (copy it if necessary) onto your other hard drive.
I could be totally off and not have a clue what the hell I'm talking about, but that seems to make sense to me. Might be better to wait for some better-informed opinions...

Look from registry.
start > run > regedit > HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Remember to backup the registry before (if) you change anything

When I right click, this is all I can do...

When I get to that directory, there is no My Music folder directory... there is My Pictures and My Documents and some other stuff, but no My Musictupla_s wrote:
