Friends of mine have proven that math is a lie. With proof that cannot be disproved.

Let's make a hypothetical situation:

X = 0.999999 repeating forever.

Ok.

Multiply both sides by 10.

That gives us:

10X = 9.9999999 repeating.

Now, since X is equal to 0.999 repeating, we can subtract 0.9999 repeating, or an X, from both sides, which gives us:

9X = 9

Divide both sides by 9.

X = 1

Because the difference is infinitely small, it is rounded up to one. Besides, Wikipedia has all th answers.

It is impossible to multiply 0.9999999..... -> infinity by anything, because of it being impossible to even express the whole number in the first place.

You either define how many digits you are working to (hence it no longer works) or you can't complete the first step. Hence this does not disprove anything.
