BF2S Forums Why do Germans dominate the BF2 Global Score (sociology question)?

I think its because they take video games seriously, and they are a very persistent race, it's how they're brought up.

IMO it's because generally the Germans don't work all that much (as in working hours/week). Also schools always end at noon, so kids have the whole afternoon to play

Hmmm ... that's a good point.  Where I live, Americans work 60-80 hours per week, and kids get home with barely enough time to do homework.

40 hours is like the max here. (of course you can work more)

+ yes for the kids like 6 weeks summer break, 2 weeks christmas, 1 week easter, 1 week spring, and then dunno what days they have all free.

I've heard it from a German that Germany is boooooooooooring, so I guess they have nothing better to do?

Germans are top players because they are the master race!

But seriously, they're good players. I've played on some German servers before (when not getting kicked for high ping) and they're great. Lots of teamwork and a good attitude. They don't whine nearly as much as Americans or Britons. Heh and I've played with some Australians and New Zealanders and they just get extremely angry!

Srsly? I find German servers the worst to play on because they whine so much...

I play on small, low-populated servers (my comp is crap), so that might be the reason. When I play with them, there's usually at least a few clanmates on, or people who don't say much and just want to play.

Germans have always raped in fights. The Normans were originally a German tribe... The Angles were of Germanic origin too. Look where they ended up. Germans are just good at warfare. Wouldn't the same apply to a virtual and shitty emulation of warfare which was missing all the disturbing and disgusting aspects?

Let me preface this by saying I have a lot of respect for the Germans, and can understand why they have somewhat of a superior complex. After all, man of the greatest machines and science come from there.



I've said this before and it wasn't popular; I believe that they are a war-like race.  I think the slaughter of European Jews
was the dictation of a handful of madmen in power but that the notion of them being a chosen people was pretty main stream.

I also believe that they, like the Japanese were humiliated in WW2 and that there is an element of their society that longs for the old days of power, glory and conquest.

Tbh, despite loving German culture and the Germans I've spoken to, I have to agree. Not so much about the racist things, but the war-like aspects definitely.

The humiliation and race stuff really applies to Japan. Very racist country. Germany on the other hand embraced the USA and the allies after WW2 thanks to the East/West split. I don't think they have a superiority complex, but the culture is still very 'warlike' in a sense. Brilliantly efficient as far as technology goes.

The massacre of the jews was because germany was in a big crisis, Hitler the jew-hater already said that all the jews should be put down on the bottom layers of their society because strangely enough most jewish people were the one with money, extreme racism came forth and humiliation of being ruled by another race in your own country - hence they chose him

The concentration camps went too far, people couldn't stop hitler at that time and didn't try to either if you did it was inevitable death, so after the war they all shouted "Ich habe es nicht gewusst"

They embraced the US and western allies because the commies weren't so much fun with stalin running the show, what other choice did they have?

Other than that, yes germanic people are generally persistent, and am proud to be one :-]
