BF2S Forums Why do Germans dominate the BF2 Global Score (sociology question)?

Everything I've heard and read about Germans is that they are very organized.  With a team activity like BF2, I would assume that translates well into high scores, if a well-organized team of German players is constructed.

Plus, I'll echo what someone else said about how seriously they probably take the game.

Overall, I just get the impression that Germans are very competitive.

It's the general Serious Business attitude over there. Wierd sense of humour, so they take the game very seriously instead of pissing around and having a laugh like most Americans seem to.
It's also the sheer amount of german servers around, most of my list is .de when I connect and do a general search.

I mean, with the reactions I get to shooting at choppers (multiple strafing runs with rockets), how can they NOT take it extremely seriously?
(It's only the pilots, though. I never get volleys of cannon fire or TV missiled for that. In fact, the only time I DO get missiled is when I'm cruising in a tank with a chopper around.)

Germany is next door to me, been there all the time and get germans to visit over the border aswell all the time.

Germanic people are usually more persistent and organized that's what I've got to say, so as every country got it's 'special' thing.

Hmmm ... that's a good point.  Where I live, Americans work 60-80 hours per week, and kids get home with barely enough time to do homework.

Because (at least here) 80% of the school day is wasted on frivolity and redundant material.

I've said this before and it wasn't popular; I believe that they are a war-like race.  I think the slaughter of European Jews
was the dictation of a handful of madmen in power but that the notion of them being a chosen people was pretty main stream.

I also believe that they, like the Japanese were humiliated in WW2 and that there is an element of their society that longs for the old days of power, glory and conquest.

Tbh, despite loving German culture and the Germans I've spoken to, I have to agree. Not so much about the racist things, but the war-like aspects definitely.

The humiliation and race stuff really applies to Japan. Very racist country. Germany on the other hand embraced the USA and the allies after WW2 thanks to the East/West split. I don't think they have a superiority complex, but the culture is still very 'warlike' in a sense. Brilliantly efficient as far as technology goes.

War like culture? Germany has been so suppressed over the last century, they just want to get on with the world and do things they couldn't in dictatorship times.. 99% of Germans are embarrassed and ashamed of the holocaust, and if you want to question sociology, why do they have the largest gay festival in the world? "LOVE PARADE" that would be a more realistic thing to judge a WHOLE COUNTRY for, which would be extremely ignorant, uneducated and offensive - as i seem to be saying often here lately. Because that's what your doing.

Maybe country's like Germany or Japan have higher stats like these, because of a work ethic. It is a very high standard, because being shit isn't good enough if you can try harder. Maybe they are not lazy, take everything for grated country's. Quality control is extremely high in Germany from a trade perspective.  Technically Germans are renowned as a very efficient society. Maybe that's why they were effective at war, not because they love it. Nobody loves war, are you people fuckin sick?

And flecco how ignorant is the quote from the second handed story at Normandy?.. BMW is the shittest out of all German cars and has been for 15 years... You can fly around with bullshit like what you've studied, or even google it and quote the grandiose "wiki", but your ignorant statements prove otherwise.

I think it is generally down to culture / working hours, and their approach to gaming. Very much a social/cultural thing, definitely not 'race' related, or specific to people of Germanic origin. It's just the same with RTS / MMO games in Korea. Web-cafes and gaming to them are what TV's and pubs are to us, so they tend to excel at it as they casually spend far longer playing the damn things.

Perhaps Germany just has a really active BF2-scene, I don't know the top-ranked players but it could just be that they all play within very active communities that encourage lots of teamplay and high-point rounds.

As mentioned, there are so many reasons why this statistic could be, but the thread has obviously been used as a vessel for insulting racial slurs and nothing more.

Economy, Work hrs, possible coincidence, or group effort. And its no more questionable than if England were #1. Hypothetically if i made a poll that said how come the UK has the most players in the top twenty, but generally the English haven't had a good reputation in war. How much butchering would i receive.. Its pretty clear who runs things around these forums if you ask me. This shit is only going to bring the worst out in all of us.

Germans don't like being called krauts, or half of the comments were not even "leading",  they were a blatant flame towards Germans.  Big difference from a stereotypical fatty comment, an issue solely brought on by each person individually. Is this not in D&ST?  I'm not out of order, this whole damn court, is out of order. The whole thread is about pussy footing it around calling Germans scum, or war loving animals over battlefield..
