Ok in UBAR it says you must throw a total of 3000 flashbangs to gain expert but on this site

It says flashbang or teargas. So which is right? Are they both right? CAn you do tear gas and still get it?

Both flashbangs and teargas count towards basic. I dont think you can get veteran or expert yet, at least I dont know anyone who has them.

I assume if people have expert zipline and grappling hook then you should be able to get vet/expert tactical support.

It is not in a round I believe it is globally if you look at the coding for the awards.

I am aiming for vet and expert tactical support. Somtimes I just grab a vodnik or boat and go to F3 postion as support and just shoot teargas all round. (Infinate ammo cause of support).

I have over 1200 uses of Flashbangs and not Vet badge yet. I don't see it commented out. In fact it says 1000 for Vet and 3000 for expert. WTF?????

but anyway, maybe you simply cant get those badges yet?

If you go out to te below link which is some german BF2 Stats Site it has the stats for Zip line, Grappling Hook, ad flash bangs. You'll see that I have thrown 1260 flash bangs and still have not received the Verteran Tactical Support Badge. I have a Ticket in with EA Support on this and will post it here when I receive a responce.

Scroll down to (translation in brackets)

Ausrüstung | Eingesetzt (Equipment | Used)
Tränengas/Flashbang (Teargas/Flashbang)
Enterhaken (Grappling Hook)
Zip Line (Zip Line)

I looked at the python file which is where the ribbons and medals that you can not get are commented out and the Tactical Support Badge is not commented out.

hi i have thrown 632 flash bangs i was playing as commonder yeserday in between what i was doing i droped a box next to me and started throwing bangs 20 per mins i dune that for 10 mins that should of gave me 832 but when i updated my stats it showed 640 wtf is going on and i have all the time for the armys but no ribbons wtf2 any one know

I've seen people with Expert Zip line and Grappling, yet they ticked the two boxes on flashbangs yet no vet.

Weird.

It's the same though with the ribbons. They say 5hrs as that army, yet it's not. We all know what the reqs are, BF2s just haven't updated that yet.

But again the flashbang one is confusing

It's 1000 IAR, despite what the stat page says.

That's why no one has it...

I certainly hope they adress that in the patch.

When the flashbangs are mentioned does it mean JUST deploying them or does the flash have to affect somebody?

I just spent a good 20 minutes defending a flag and as there were plenty of ammo crates around spent the time practicing getting the flashbangs into door, windows and behind vehicles/sandbags.

I must have thrown in excess of 40 flashes in that time, but I did not even get the basic tactical support badge up on screen.

Scratch the above. Must have missed the notification, badge is there in BFHQ now.
